A private-pool villa is a house rented in full, where the swimming pool belongs to the stay rather than to a shared complex. Excursions, transfers and activity bookings are arranged on request, so you can plan snorkelling, a dhow trip or a day in Stone Town without organising it yourself. A guard is present around the clock, and the pool area is watched over rather than left open to outsiders.

A common mistake is to treat a villa like a hotel and expect a front desk. Here the rhythm is yours: you decide meal times, swim when you like and keep the space private, while the team stays reachable and discreet.
